Since it was national chocolate cake day on January 27th we decided to make our seasonal Hawaiian Chocolate Cake. Out came the Chocolate Macadamia Nut Brownie Cake!
In addition we thought of experimenting and trying something new. On a new twist we took some regular Happy Cake and we iced it with a chocolate butter cream icing.
At first we were a little unsure how it might turn out. But to our surprise the chocolate and the pineapple made a beautiful combination! The sweet juicy pineapple with the rich chocolatey texture really complimented each other! The macadamia nuts and coconut just added to it in the chewing.
Turned out delicious and all our customers at the KCC Farmers Market seemed to think so too! All the cakes we brought sold out in 90 minutes!
Looks like we might have to have fun with this tasty Chocolate covered Happy Cake more often!
